The Nimbus Access Scheme

The first step for all of the access system guides is applying for a Nimbus Access Card. Most theme parks in the UK use the Nimbus Card as their main way of proving disability, and many parks outside of the UK accept Nimbus Cards as proof of disability. I strongly recommend getting a Nimbus Card as they are an easy way of communicating your access requirements using different symbols, rather than having to share personal documents every time you visit a new place.

A Nimbus Access Card costs £15 for 3 years and has a very quick and easy application system.

About Accessible Thrills

Your guide to theme park accessibility

Accessible Thrills was created in 2024 as part of an EPQ project on theme park accessibility, with the aim to help people with additional needs find the necessary information to help them maximise their theme park days out.

When planning theme park trips with my additional needs, I often found it difficult to find or understand the information offered on the theme park's websites. Because of this, I decided to create a website based around accessibility at theme parks! All images on the site are taken by myself, and all information is from my own experience of visiting the parks.
